Capio acquires primary care centre Stadshusdoktorn in Stockholm, Sweden
Capio Proximity Care has acquired the primary care centre Stadshusdoktorn on Lidingö in Stockholm. Stadshusdoktorn was founded in 1993 as a private practise, under the name Lidingö Läkargrupp, in conjunction with the private practise reform. The former owners and staff will stay with the practise.
Stadshusdoktorn is a primary care centre operated under the free care choice model in Stockholm. The practise offers both general medicine and clinics for COLD/asthma, diabetes, hypertension, anti-smoking, counseling and vaccination. Patients at Stadshusdoktorn are also offered home visits by district nurses.
- Stadshusdoktorn is a well-run practise and very well liked by patients. We are looking forward to continue to develop it under our name, at the same address and with the skilled staff that are there today. The primary care centre complements Capio Proximity Care's network of primary care centres in Sweden, which are operating under varying conditions, but all strive to offer patients the same high quality of care and accessibility, says Susanne Wellander, Business Area Manager, Capio Proximity Care.
