Capio's Annual Review 2010
In Capio’s Annual Review 2010 we present our view on how healthcare efforts at different levels can be organised, implemented and measured – all in the interest of the best achievable quality of life for every patient.
Capio’s mission is to cure, relieve and comfort. Every hour of the day, at our more than 300 care units in Sweden, Norway, Germany, France and the UK, we are aiming to realise this mission. Quality in all parts of the care chain is key and our ambition to offer high-quality healthcare encourages us to use our resources as effectively as possible. This creates value to every single patient and contributes to the renewal of the healthcare system. The so called Capio model summarises our view on good healthcare and forms the basis for how we organise and run our healthcare operations, as well how we measure and review our results.
With the support of the Capio model, we have for example developed Capio St Göran’s Hospital in Stockholm into one of Sweden’s leading emergency hospitals. Please read more about this on pages 12-15 in the Annual Review.
But we are not stopping at this - we have our goals set higher. Our development work with the actual healthcare offering, as well as how we organise and manage our care units, aims to result in even better quality and productivity. This in turn means that an increasing number of people can be offered a good and safe healthcare using the same level of resources - an important challenge for the society in large, effecting all of us at different stages of our lives.
We challenge ourselves – and the healthcare system!
We hope you will find it an interesting read.
